The Sleeping Fish Reading at Fancy Tiger was such a wonderful success! Although it was a bit warm in the crowded basement, everyone made it a very special occasion. Many of the DU PhD students are moving away and it was nice to see them all before they leave and pollinate the world with more beautiful and (often times) disquieting writing. Over 50 people attended the reading. Some were young and fresh to this type of event, others seasoned veterans. We're lucky to have a journal like Sleeping Fish. It's rare to find a publication that celebrates unique prose. Here are some photos, but they don't do much justice. I'd like to thank everyone that came out tonight and the Fancy Tiger for hosting the event.
